Our first look at Academy Award winner Brie Larson in full costume as Captain Marvel is here thanks to this year's San Diego Comic-Con.
The reveal was made at the Marvel Studios Hall H presentation at Comic-Con International in San Diego today. During the panel, Marvel’s Kevin Feige said that Captain Mavel is set in the early ’90s, with Samuel L. Jackson returning as a Nick Fury with two working eyes.
A two-eyed Fury wasn’t the coolest bit of news to come out of the Captain Marvel portion of the panel, though. Towards the end of the presentation, Feige said that the film’s main villains are none other than the Skrulls, a race of green-skinned, shapeshifting aliens from the comics.
You can see Larson in full costume as Captain Marvel below along with official concept art of the Skrulls.
Mississippi Grind directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are set to helm the project which will begin filming in February of 2018. The script has been written by Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy) and Oscar nominee Meg LeFauve (Inside Out).
Captain Marvel is slated to hit theaters on March 8, 2019. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the upcoming movie and the Marvle Cinematic Universe, and make sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more content!
