Luke gets a new padawan.
It seems like Disney has listened to fans after all the cries for Sebastian Stan to play a young Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars universe. It stemmed from the reaction to the CGI version of the Jedi Knight who appeared at the end of The Mandalorian season 2, who arrived just in the nick of time to save Din Djarin, Baby Yoda and the rest of their crew. But surprisingly, Sebastian Stan will pick up the role from Mark Hamill in a new six-episode event series called Starkiller.
Long-time Star Wars fans will know that George Lucas originally envisioned Luke with the last name Starkiller instead of Skywalker, so it’ll be interesting to see how that plays into the show. However, he’ll reportedly team up with fan-favorite character Grogu after leaving with him at the end of The Mandalorian. What’s even more shocking is that the series will apparently culminate in a battle between Sebastian Stan’s Luke Skywalker and Grogu on Tatooine, according to sources at April Fool’s News.
