Sebastian Stan Rocks His Own Captain America Shield In New Photo

When Sebastian Stan’s Winter Solider picked up Captain America’s shield during the highway ambush scene from the Cap sequel, fans were given reason to think that Bucky Barnes may eventually take up the mantle of Captain America himself after Steve Rogers is gone. That’s what they did in the comics, and with Civil War coming up, it made sense from a story telling point of view.

Now that Civil War has come and gone, and we know Cap makes it out alive, Bucky’s actor Sebastian Stan is still up to his old ways as it appears he too has his own shield. This version of Cap’s more patriotic iteration is silver and red and matches the Winter Solider. Stan can be seen with the shield slung over his shoulder in a new image the actor has posted to Instagram:
