Sebastian Stan Wears Wakandan Armor In ‘Avengers’ Concept Art

A brand new piece of concept art from Avengers: Infinity War shows Sebastian Stan’s The Winter Solider wearing Wakadan armor.

Avengers: Infinity War was the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to unite almost all of Marvel’s big screen characters. Some of the highlights included seeing distinctively different characters interact with one another, such as the regal and grief-stricken Thor meeting the goofy Guardians of the Galaxy. And while the crossover may have just ended with character interactions, this brand new concept art imagines Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes wearing traditional Wakadan armor.

At the end of Captain America: Civil War, it was revealed that Sebastian Stan’s The Winter Soldier would be residing in Wakanda for his own safety. In Avengers: Infinity War, the character joined the titular team and King T’Challa’s kingdom to fight against Thanos. Marvel concept artist Rodney Fuentebella shared a brand new concept art of Stan’s character wearing Wakandan armor for the battle as opposed to a dark colored suit.

This version of Sebastian Stan’s character stands out much more because of how colorful the Wakandan armor is when compared to the black suit he wore in Avengers: Infinity War. It’s honestly surprising that they didn’t go with this suit considering Bucky spent a considerable time among the Wakandan people and their culture. It would have served as a perfect tribute to the folks who kept him away from harm’s way, especially during a battle that took place in their own country.
