New ‘Tomb Raider’ Trailer Shows Alicia Vikander’s Lara Croft In Action

The second trailer for Roar Uthaug’s upcoming video game adaptation of Tomb Raider starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft has been released.

The second trailer for Roar Uthaug’s upcoming video game adaptation of Tomb Raider starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft has finally been released.

The film which hits theaters in just under two months takes inspiration from the recent video games and serves as an origin story for Lara as it follows her on her first adventure to discover what happened to her long-missing father who’s last-known location is a tomb on an island located somewhere off the coast of Japan.

You can check out the new trailer below.

Tomb Raider stars Alicia Vikander, Walton Goggins, Hannah John-Kamen, Daniel Wu, and Dominic West. Here’s the official synopsis:

Seven years after the disappearance of her father, 21-year-old Lara has refused to take the reins of his global business empire, instead working as a bike courier in London while taking college classes. Eventually she becomes inspired to investigate her father’s disappearance and travels to his last-known location: a tomb on an island somewhere off the coast of Japan. Suddenly, the stakes couldn’t be higher for Lara, who—against the odds and armed with only her sharp mind, blind faith and inherently stubborn spirit—must learn to push herself beyond her limits as she journeys into the unknown. If she survives this perilous adventure, it could be the making of her, earning her the name Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider hits theaters March 16, 2018. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the Tomb Raider reboot as we learn it.
