With every new piece of marketing for a major upcoming blockbuster, fans show their appreciation in many ways. Some speculate what every little shot means, some simply oooh and ahhh as they watch trailers on repeat, and then some go a few steps further: recreating the trailers into something new. That’s precisely what the folks over at JoBlo have done with Zack Snyder’s Justice League, recreating this past summer’s tease into a retro stylized 8-Bit video game. Check it out below:
The original trailer debuted a couple of months back to a shocked crowd in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. Warner Bros and DC Films wasted no time by immediately releasing the footage online and it’s safe to say it went viral almost instantly. The highly anticipated superhero team-up has been a long time coming and the prospect of seeing these legendary figures on the big screen together is simply too good to overlook. With still over a year to go before release, fans can look forward to many more tributes such as these as Warner and DC continue to announce the cinematic league to the world.
Set directly after the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Justice League finds a newly inspired Bruce Wayne as he traverses the globe in order to assemble a team of metahumans to combat the intergalactic threat of Steppenwolf and his army of parademons who have arrived hellbent on finding their three missing Mother Boxes. As Batman, Bruce, with newfound ally Diana Prince along with the assembled forces of Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg at his side, the fate of the planet rests in their hands.
Directed by Zack Snyder from a screenplay by Chris Terrio and starring Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, J.K. Simmons, and Henry Cavill as Superman, Justice League opens on November 17, 2017.
