Writer and director Shane Black has shared a new image of the cast for his upcoming Predator reboot on Twitter.
The Iron Man 3 and The Nice Guys director revealed the new image today on his Twitter page with a caption reading: “Stone killers with serious acting chops — but which of them will be chopped… by THE PREDATOR? (See what I did there?)” Check out Black’s tweet below:
Featured in the image (from left to right) are Alfie Allen, Keegan Michael Key, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Boyd Holbrook and Trevante Rhodes. The film also stars Sterling K. Brown (The People vs O.J. Simpson), Olivia Munn (The Newsroom), Yvonne Strahovski (Chuck, Dexter) and Jacob Tremblay (Room).
Currently, details on the film’s plot are few and far between (although Trevante Rhodes did share a few details about the film earlier today). However, what is known is that the film will be set in the same universe as the previous three films, the first of which was released in 1987 and starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Elpidia Carrillo, Bill Duke, Jesse Ventura and Shane Black himself. This time around, Black is back to direct the film and he co-wrote the script with Fred Dekker, who he co-wrote Monster Squad with in 1987. Man, ’87 was a good year.
Between this film and the three Alien films that Ridley Scott is working on, I’m started to get really excited to see these creatures on the big screen once again, but thankfully, this time it will be separately.
The Predator is slated to hits theaters February 9, 2018.
