Shane Black's 'The Predator' release date is pushed back. The film was supposed to be released in theaters in February 2018.
Shane Black’s The Predator release date is delayed. The film, which was supposed to arrive in theaters on February 9, 2018, has now been pushed back by a good six months and will hit theaters on August 3, 2018.
Winter releases are always tricky because many believe them to be the dumping grounds for all the bad movies the studios don’t want to push for. 20th Century Fox moving the film to a summer release might actually mean that the studio has hopes that it will actually do well in a more competitive month. The release date being pushed back could also mean that the film’s production (it’s currently filming in Vancouver) and post-production has hit some sort of delay and that’s why the studio sought to move its release.
Currently, many of the film’s details are still under wrap and there has been nothing released in terms of plot.
The film stars Boyd Holbrook, Sterling K. Brown, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, Olivia Munn, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey, and Edward James Olmos.
The Predator is co-written by Shane Black with Fred Dekker. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for more news and plot details regarding the film.
