‘Shazam!’ Star Asher Angel Reveals Who He Wants To Replace Ben Affleck’s Batman

We recently sat down with Asher Angel, the actor who plays Billy Batson in Shazam!, and we got into a serious conversation on replacing Ben Affleck as Batman.

The question on all of our minds is a very simple one and it’s even crossed the mind of Shazam! star Asher Angel: Who will replace Ben Affleck as Batman? Batman is the most iconic comic book character of all time and casting the Caped Crusader just might be the hardest thing for a casting director to do. There have been so many tremendous actors to play him before and Ben Affleck is definitely the fan favorite. 

Ben Affleck got to play a bit of a more accurate Batman(minus the murders)*. His Batman costume had a classic design and cowl. We all thought that we were on the verge of having the best Batman of all time, but then that all came crashing down when Ben Affleck exited the role. Now all eyes have turned to who will play The Batman next.

We recently sat down with Shazam! star Asher Angel and he told us he knows exactly who’d he replace Ben Affleck as Batman with.

“I would cast… I forgot his name. It’s driving me crazy. One second…This is who I would cast as Batman. I would cast Scott Adkins.”
