Dwayne Johnson Arrives To Take Down Shazam! As Black Adam In New Image

After years of being cast in the role, new fan art visualizes Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, ready to take on the DCEU’s latest hero, Shazam!

Dwayne Johnson has been waiting for his chance to enter the DCEU since 2014. Dwayne Johnson had been teasing his involvement in the DCEU before the official announcement back in 2014 and many believed he was going to play Shazam! Instead, he will play his nemesis, Black Adam. Zachary Levi would later get cast in the role and Shazam! has continued Warner Bros’ recent DC success. The Black Adam solo film have been in development for years and Dwayne Johnson recently said the film will begin shooting next year. Now new art from Mizuri shows Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam ready to battle Shazam!:

Who do you think Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam will fight in his solo film? Do you think Black Adam will be in the Shazam! sequel? Comment below!

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Djimon Hounsou.

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Shazam! is playing in theaters!
