‘Shazam!’ Director Responds To Fan Waiting For A New Trailer

Shazam! director David F. Sandberg responded to a fan who asked about the lack of marketing for the DC film.

Warner Bros. already released a teaser trailer and featurette for Shazam!, but with less than two months to go before the film hits theaters, the marking campaign for the DC film has been relatively quiet. One fan took to Twitter to ask director David. F. Sandberg about the lack of marketing material, noting that Aquaman had three trailers before being released in theaters, and the filmmaker stated that while he does not have any specific trailer dates, the marketing will not slow down now:

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
