Fans are curious as to when we will finally be seeing a brand new trailer for the highly-anticipated film before it opens in the Spring. In September, it was reported that a new trailer was already rated but it’s been two months and so far, no trailer.
Some fans are expecting to see a new trailer attached to Aquaman next month, but if you want to ask director David F. Sandberg about when it will release, don’t expect anything too concrete:
Sandberg has a point. The internet tends to not be forgiving when it comes to VFX seen in trailers if they are considered sub par. But fans shouldn’t be surprised to see a new trailer for Shazam! arrive by the end of the year, especially with Aquaman gearing up to make a splash at the holiday box office next month.
When do you think we will see a new Shazam! trailer? Sound off in the comments below, and be sure to continue following Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news in the DCEU.
Here is the synopsis for Shazam!:
“We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).”
Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Djimon Honsou, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Faithe Herman, Cooper Andrews and Marta Millan.
