‘Shazam!’ Screening Two Weeks Early With Fandango Screening Program

Warner Bros. and Fandango are joining forces to offer exclusive advance screenings of Zachary Levi’s Shazam! two weeks before the DC film officially hits theaters.

Fans and members of Fandango’s free-to-join rewards program, Fandango VIP, will be able to see the Zachary Levi Superhero film two weeks early at 1,200 select theaters and 40 exhibition circuits nationwide. Tickets for advance screenings of Shazam! on March 23 are now available exclusively through Fandango.

Fandango President Paul Yanover made the following statement on the partnership with Warner Bros.:

“We’re thrilled to work with Warner Bros. on our early access screening program, helping eventize movies and generate buzz before opening weekend. “‘Shazam!’ is a film that appeals to the whole family, and we’re delighted that Fandango VIP fans will be among the first to see the film two weeks before it officially hits theaters.”

Jeff Goldstein, President, Warner Bros. Pictures Domestic Distribution, added:

“Fandango is a terrific partner and we’re excited to work with them to bring this film to their VIP members ahead of release. ‘Shazam!’ is not only a great superhero action movie, but a really funny one, full of heart and charm, and we look forward to Fandango audiences being among the very first to experience it on the big screen.”

Fans can enjoy a special message from lead star Zachary Levi and learn more about Fandango’s early access screenings here.

We all have a superhero inside us, it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In Billy Batson’s (Angel) case, by shouting out one word—SHAZAM!—this streetwise 14-year-old foster kid can turn into the adult Super Hero Shazam (Levi), courtesy of an ancient wizard. Still a kid at heart—inside a ripped, godlike body—Shazam revels in this adult version of himself by doing what any teen would do with superpowers: have fun with them! Can he fly? Does he have X-ray vision? Can he shoot lightning out of his hands? Can he skip his social studies test? Shazam sets out to test the limits of his abilities with the joyful recklessness of a child. But he’ll need to master these powers quickly in order to fight the deadly forces of evil controlled by Dr. Thaddeus Sivana (Strong).

Directed by David F. Sandberg, Shazam! stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Ron Cephas.

Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
