‘Shazam!’ Stars Would Be Happy To Return For A Sequel

In a recent interview, Shazam! stars Grace Fulton and Jovan Armand expressed their desire to return for a potential sequel.

The future is already bright for the Shazam!, which is still two weeks away from opening weekend. The film earned rave reviews over the weekend and $3.3 million from advanced Fandango screenings. There are already plans for a film for Shazam’s nemesis Black Adam starring Dwayne Johnson, but to announcement of a proper sequel just yet. MarvelousTV asked the young stars of the film if they would return for a sequel. Grace Fulton, who plays Mary Bromfield, responded by saying:

“I hope so, we’re just getting started. We’ve just seen Billy gain his powers, learn how to use them and we need to see him fight more bad guys.”

Jovan Armand, who plays Pedro Peña, also chimed in on the prospect of a sequel:

“This is very much an origin story, but we have no idea what Warner Bros. want to do with the film. I think all of us would be happy to come back.”

Directed by David F. Sandberg, the film stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Grace Fulton, Faithe Herman, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Cooper Andrews, Marta Milans, and Ron Cephas.

Shazam! will be released in theaters on April 5, 2019.
