Shia LaBeouf gets his claws out to replace Hugh Jackman's Wolverine in the new design.
After Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed mutants will eventually arrive in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fans were quick to start casting their ideal choices for a new set of heroes that could fit among the existing characters. While many picked stars like Tom Hardy, Taron Egerton and Keanu Reeves, this impressive piece of fan art sees Transformers star Shia LaBeouf replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine for the next era of the MCU. The artwork comes soon after rumors circulated online that LaBeouf was being eyed to play the X-Men character Iceman, though it quickly became apparent that this wasn’t the case.
However, that didn’t stop fans from picturing which of the X-Men Shia LaBeouf could play in the MCU, with popular digital artist BossLogic deciding to use the Transformers and The Tax Collector star as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine successor. The MCU concept design gives LaBeouf’s Wolverine a bloody look after being shot twice. It’s a stunning design, one that the artist says looks very similar to Hugh Jackman. The fan edit also gives him part of the costume with his claws coming out of a gloved hand. Although LaBeouf left mainstream Hollywood some years ago, it would definitely be interesting to see what he could do with the Wolverine role. Take a look at the MCU design of LaBeouf replacing Hugh Jackman as Wolverine below.

However, the studio is reportedly in no rush to introduce the X-Men to the MCU, meaning it will likely be some time before we learn who will replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
