During a recent interview with Parade Magazine, Sigourney Weaver talked about her life in the world of Hollywood in various films, such as Ghostbusters, Alien and Avatar. The most interesting bit, however, came from her mentioning the upcoming Ghostbusters film. While speaking about it, she seemed to have confirmed that she and the original cast would be returning for Jason Reitman’s upcoming film.
While she didn’t give away any details she did mention that she was looking forward to working with the original cast of Ghostbusters once again:
It’s going to be crazy working with the guys again!
From the look of things, Sigourney Weaver may have inadvertently confirmed a few major casting decisions for the upcoming Ghostbusters film!

Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters is expected to go before the lens this summer with production reportedly taking place in Calgary, Alberta. Whether or not the original cast including Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Bill Murray will actually appear has yet to be officially confirmed. However, the new film is rumored to feature members of the original team alongside a younger cast of Ghostbusters.
Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has been cast in the sequel along with Carrie Coon (The Leftovers) and Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel). Jason Reitman will direct the new Ghostbusters film from a script he co-wrote with Poltergeist remake director Gil Kena.
