More speculation on possible characters is continuing after the leaked call sheet confirmed Bokeem Woodbine as the Shocker this morning. Among that speculation is Tiffany Espensen’s character with the elusive first-name-only “Cindy”. We already know Zendaya’s Michelle name is a code-name for Mary Jane, but Espensen’s character isn’t too far from their code-name.
In the comics, Cindy Moon is Silk the Spider-Man heroine introduced in 2014. Cindy is a Korean-American hero, and Espensen is a Chinese actress, so it’s not too far of a jump.
Other interesting bits include Ned Leeds, a character who becomes the villain Hobgoblin in the comics, and Ms. Warren, a character which could be tied to Miles Warren. In the comics, Miles Warren was one of Peter Parker’s teachers who went on to become the Jackal.
