In April 2019, Smallville alum Allison Mack pleaded guilty to racketeering conspiracy and racketeering charges, with her sentencing scheduled for September of this year. However, NXIVM leader Keith Raniere pleaded not guilty to charges including racketeering conspiracy, wire fraud conspiracy, forced labor conspiracy, sex trafficking conspiracy and attempted sex trafficking but was convicted on all seven counts today in New York. Keith Raniere will be sentenced on September 25 and could face life in prison.
For her role in the case, prosecutors alleged Smallville alum Allison Mack manipulated women into becoming sex slaves for NXIVM spiritual leader Keith Raniere. The Smallville veteran pleaded guilty to these charges.
Allison Mack is best known for her role in Smallville as Chloe Sullivan, the intrepid journalist who became one of Clark Kent’s best friends and most trusted confidant. The character first appeared in the pilot of Smallville and Allison Mack remained in the role for ten seasons until the series finale.
