‘Smallville’ Martian Manhunter Is Game For ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’

Smallville actor Phil Morris shared his desire to return as Martian Manhunter in Crisis on Infinite Earths during a recent interview.

Phil Morris is currently on DC Universe’s Doom Patrol as Cyborg’s father Silas Stone, but that isn’t his first foray in the comic book genre. Phil Morris also played Martian Manhunter on Smallville in the later seasons of the Superman prequel series. The actor has also done voice work for various DC animated projects as well.

Arrowverse fans are hoping to see Smallville actors reprise their roles in the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover after several teases in Elseworlds. The Arrowverse’s Earth-38 currently has a Martin Manhunter of their own, played by David Harewood. Former Smallville star Phil Morris shared his desire to return as Martian Manhunter when asked about it by KryptonSite during the TCAs:

“I love John Jones. I just thought he was so fantastic, so the short answer is ‘yes,’ I would revisit John Jones in a heart beat, and lend his humanity – even though he is from Mars – and his abilities to the proceedings. If they were to ask, I would show up in a heartbeat, my brother.”
