‘Smallville’ Star Tom Welling Gets Imagined As An Older Superman

The Arrowverse continues to bring back heroes from different earths such as John Wesley Shipp returning as the Flash in Elseworlds. Many Arrowverse fans are hoping Smallville‘s Tom Welling gets brought into the fold eventually as the man of steel. Tom Welling portrayed a young Superman on Smallville for ten seasons. Smallville was so beloved, fans were even rooting for Tom Welling to return as the man of steel for Superman Returns before Brandon Routh was cast. The Arrowverse shows will explore the multiverse even more with next fall’s Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. The former Smallville star appearing in the Arrowverse is definitely possible and new art from Dalton Barett shows us was that could look like:

The DCEU continues with Shazam! on April 5, 2019, Birds of Prey (And TheFantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), on February 7, 2020, and Wonder Woman 1984 on June 5, 2020. A standalone Joker film set outside of the DC Films universe starring Joaquin Phoenix as the Clown Prince of Crime is also set to hit theaters October 4, 2019.
