After Supreme Leader Snoke made his first appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, fans began developing theories on the villain’s origins and the First Oder rose from the ashes of the Empire fell. However, it appeared as though the mysteries surrounding Snoke’s past would never be addressed after the Supreme Leader was unexpectedly killed off in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
However, one theory regarding Snoke may have been confirmed in a recently released clip featuring a confrontation between Kylo Ren and the voice of Emperor Palpatine. In the Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker clip, Kylo Ren is told by a combination of Palpatine and Snoke’s voices that he has been behind everything in the young villain’s mind from the beginning, potentially supporting the theory that the deceased Supreme Leader shares a force connection to the Emperor, perhaps even as a direct creation of the Sith Lord.
Do you think Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will reveal more details on Snoke’s past? Do you think Snoke has a connection to Palpatine? Let us know your own theory on Snoke and what you hope to see in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker below!
