It appears the Sonic The Hedgehog has found its composer in Junkie XL. The composer is set to bring his style of music to the film and it seems like a great fit based on his previous work. Junkie XL has worked in many popular films outside of DC’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice like Mad Max: Fury Road, Deadpool and most recently, Alita: Battle Angel. Holkenborg confirmed in an interview with Film Music Magazine that he will be scoring Sonic The Hedgehog. Tim Miller is producing the project. The two previously worked together on Deadpool.
Sonic is set to bring the blue speedster to the big screen and will be voiced by Ben Schwartz, who has appeared in other comedic projects like Parks and Recreation and Night School. The film will also have the talented Jim Carrey as popular Sonic villain Dr. Ivo Robotnik. It’s the latest movie adaptation of a popular video game and hopes to introduce more young audiences to the blue speedster that many fans grew up with.
