‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ Movie Footage Revealed At CCXP

Paramount Pictures revealed the first footage from the Sonic the Hedgehog film at CCXP 2018.

SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog will finally receive his first live-action feature film with Ben Schwartz voicing the classic video game character. At CCXP 2018, attendees were given a preview of the upcoming film and Collider has provided a description of the exciting footage that was screened.

While the footage was very short, it showed Sonic on a highway and then quickly running off screen. It’s clear the footage was nothing more than reminding people who Sonic is and that he has a movie coming soon.

The footage ended with a title card saying Sonic, so that could be the film’s official title.

The Sonic the Hedgehog film will follow Small-town sheriff Tom Wachowski and Sonic as they embark on a road trip to San Francisco in a race to recover the blue hedgehog’s rings before the villainous Dr. Robotnik.

Directed by Jeff Fowler from a script written by Patrick Casey, Josh Miller, and Oren Uziel, Sonic the Hedgehog features the voices talent of Ben Schwartz as the titular character and stars James Marsden as sheriff Tom Wachowski, Tika Sumpter as Mrs. Wachowski, Lee Majdoub as Stone, Frank C. Turner as Crazy Carl, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Ivo Robotnik. Adam Pally, Natasha Rothwell, Neal McDonough, Debs Howard, and Elfina Luk also star in undisclosed roles.

Sonic the Hedgehog is scheduled to be released in theaters on November 8, 2019.
