Sophie Turner’s Dark Phoenix was Fox’s final X-Men movie with the core team, but it didn’t quite stick the landing and ended up being the lowest-grossing entry in the series. But that doesn’t mean there weren’t some redeeming factors hidden away from the main X-Men team. A new cameo was recently uncovered that even long-time X-Men comic book fans might’ve missed. Since the focus was so heavily on Sophie Turner and the Dark Phoenix debacle, it’s unsurprising that this X-Men cameo slipped under the radar.
The X-Men character in question is none other than Quentin Quire. The pink haired, rebellious member of the X-Men is also known as Kid Omega, since he has Omega Level telepathic powers, nearly the same rating as Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey in Dark Phoenix. Kid Omega is known for branching off from the X-Men, even rioting at Professor X’s teaching methods in the comics. With his telepathic abilities, it’s a shame we didn’t get to see anything like that in the Fox movies, as a fight between Sophie Turner’s Jean Grey and Kid Omega could have been something special.
