Spider-Man Confirmed For ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Appearance

Tom Holland has revealed Spider-Man will be a part of 'Avengers:Infinity War.'

Spider-Man: Homecoming doesn’t swing into theaters until July, but Tom Holland has finally revealed some information regarding his involvement in Marvel Studio’s massive crossover, Avengers: Infinity War.

It turns out the splintered Avengers will need all the help they can get to stop Thanos and the combined power of the Infinity Stones. Holland told Vogue that the studio needed to ensure he was the right person for the role before extending an invitation to be a part of the film.

While Tom Holland is quiet about how involved he will be in the production, whether he is filming a simple cameo or fully joining the team, it’s clear the movie will help further integrate Sony’s Spider-Man universe into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Spider-Man isn’t the only new character set to appear in the upcoming Avengers flick.  Zoe Saldana’s Gamora, made famous in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1, will also join forces with the Earth’s mightiest heroes to take on Thanos after appearing in Guardians Vol. 2, coming out this May.

Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will next be seen July 7th when Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters.

“A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.”
