Late tonight, artwork from Empire Magazine was released showcasing our first food look at Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio In Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man sequel. Now a talented fan has released an edited version of the art giving Gyllenhaal Mysterio’s classic helmet. You can check it out below.
Earlier this year, several reports pointed out that Gyllenhaal would be playing the foe in the new Spidey flick. Later, those reports would be confirmed by set photos of him wearing a suspiciously familiar armor. Later he would post an Instagram video of him reading a Spider-Man/Mysterio comicbook all but confirming his casting as the Spidey villain.
To this point, Marvel Studios has not confirmed the plot for Spider-Man: Far From Home. But there have been several rumors pointing out that Spider-Man and Mysterio won’t be adversarial at the beginning and that they banding together to face a group known only as The Elementals. Even Gyllenhaal confirmed this rumor by saying that Mysterio is a “good guy”.
What do you think of Gyllenhaal’s portrayal of Mysterio looks like? Share your thoughts below!
