Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is returning to the big screen later this year in Spider-Man: Far From Home. The last time Tom Holland’s Spider-Man headlined his own solo movie was in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. He has shown up in Avengers: Infinity War since then but this summer will finally see him return for his own solo adventure.
Given that Spider-Man: Far From Home is debuting only a few months after Avengers: Endgame, it seems that the film could get a huge box office push. According to a report from Box Office Pro, Spider-Man: Far From Home could earn somewhere between $90-120 million opening weekend domestically, meaning that its six-day total could surpass $200 million in the U.S. alone.
Specifically, the report claims that the six-day total could fall somewhere between $190-230 million. The reason that Spider-Man: Far From Home‘s six-day total is important is because the film isn’t opening on a simple Friday night. It’s opening is July 2nd, which is a Tuesday. Additionally, it’s opening on the Fourth of July weekend. This is a notoriously big weekend at the box office each year in the United States.
