SPOILERS: ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’s Two Post-Credits Scenes Revealed

After the credits begin to roll on Spider-Man: Far From Home, Marvel fans are treated to not just one, but two post-credits scenes, one of which will have huge consequences on Tom Holland’s journey as Peter Parker going forward. Spoiler warning!

Up first is the mid-credits scene, which picks back up right where the film left off, extending the end sequence of Spider-Man and MJ (Zendaya) swinging through New York City together. The scene itself is actually one that was glimpsed in the film’s marketing campaign (and set photos): when MJ tells Spider-Man that she’ll “never be doing that again.” Now, seriously. This is your last chance to avoid major spoilers for Far From Home.

Once it’s time to go, Spider-Man jumps up onto a light pole and is about ready to swing away when suddenly a breaking newscast grabs his attention. The report itself features The Daily Bugle’s J. Jonah Jameson, played by none other than J.K. Simmons. The actor reprises his role as the eccentric publisher from the Sam Raimi trilogy, revealing a video that has been edited by Mysterio’s accomplices to paint Spider-Man as the real villain behind the events overseas. Peter is shown taking control of EDITH back before giving the kill order on the drones that were used to create the illusion of the Elementals and wreak havoc on London.

But that’s not all. After declaring Spider-Man a menace and Mysterio the real hero, Jameson reveals another video of the master illusionist who reveals that Spider-Man’s true identity is Peter Parker. Peter is left shocked in panic before the film cuts back to the credits.

The second scene featured after the credits of Far From Home is mainly a gag but still a shocking revelation nonetheless. The film cuts back to Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) in their SUV when suddenly they shapeshift into Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) and his wife, Soren (Sharon Blynn), revealing these two have been Skrulls for the entire duration of Spider-Man: Far From Home. As for Nick Fury himself, he’s revealed to be on a beach on vacation while these two have be skrulling around disguised as S.H.I.E.L.D. agents on Earth. The beach itself, however, turns out to be another illusion, revealing Fury is actually taking a break from things in space with the Skrulls.
