The trailer for Sony’s Spider-Man: Far From Home was expected to debut online today but a new report from earlier in the day claimed that Sony could possibly be holding out until December 18th, just ten days away, to drop the highly-anticipated trailer. The last time Marvel Cinematic Universe fans saw Peter Parker (Tom Holland) he was begging for his life in Tony Stark’s (Robert Downey Jr.) arms before fading away into dust during the final moments of Avengers: Infinity War.
Don’t worry though, the web-slinging Marvel hero is returning for next summer’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, which will hit theaters just a couple of months after Avengers: Endgame opens. CCXP is currently going on in Sao Paulo, Brazil and fans attending had the opportunity to see the Far From Home trailer before anyone else. Check out some Tweets from Collider‘s Steven “Frosty” Weintraub below which offer some insight on the trailer and features Tom Holland and Jake Gyllenhaal telling interesting and hilarious stories regarding the Mysterio costume and digital FX.
DiscussingFilm also shared some information (via Tom Holland Source) that offers some more details on the trailer, such as how Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) recruits Peter to take on a new enemy, the iconic comic book villain Mysterio. Check out the post below to get the details.
It will be very interesting to see how or if Mysterio will use his abilities to take Spidey’s recent experience with death and use it to strike some true fear in him. Fans will have to wait for the full trailer to arrive online to get a glimpse at what the next chapter in the Spider-Man story has to offer.
