Amazing Tribute To Spider-Man Writer Found In Far From Home Trailer

The first trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home was released this morning, and it was glorious. From seeing Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) new stealth suit to seeing the Elementals in action to the first appearance of Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal), fans have yet another film to look forward to this July. And that’s not all: those who looked at the trailer frame-by-frame saw a few easter eggs, and we are honored to present one here for you guys to see.

A Twitter user named Write Name Here found an image from the film, which shows the hotel that Peter and his friends will be staying in during their vacation. The name of that hotel happens to be “Hotel De Matteis”: this is a reference to longtime Spider-Man comics writer J.M. DeMatteis, with one of his most famous stories being Kraven’s Last Hunt. Check it out below:

It’s always nice when creators get their due credit. Could this be foreboding of a Kraven appearance sometime in the future? Fingers crossed.

What do you think of this tribute to DeMatteis? Are you excited for Spider-Man: Far From Home? Let us know in the usual spot!
