‘Better Call Saul’ Actor Michael Mando Joins ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’

The massive cast of Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming continues to grow as The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Better Call Saul star Michael Mando will be making an appearance in the movie. As per usual, we don’t know who he’ll be playing, so your guesses are as good as mine. Perhaps someone from Peter Parker’s school?

The actor joins a cast which so far (I’m guessing there will be even more additions down the line) includes Tom Holland, Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Laura Harrier, Michael Barbieri, Kenneth Choi, Logan Marshall-Green, Martin Starr, Hannibal Buress and many newcomers. The movie is currently filming in Atlanta, Georgia.

Mando can currently be seen as Ignacio Varga aka Nacho on AMC’s Better Call Saul. If he looks familiar it’s because he also played Vaas Montenegro on Ubisoft’s Far Cry 3. Come to think of it, he could be making a cameo as a smaller villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming. I’d love to see Spidey taking on someone like Shocker in the movie.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but we know that Keaton will be playing The Vulture, who will be aided by another baddie (possibly The Tinkerer) portrayed by Marshall-Green. Directed by Jon Watts from a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein, Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters on July 7, 2017.
