More details are surfacing about the upcoming Sony/Marvel reboot Spider-Man: Homecoming!
The Spider-Man movie will be directed by Jon Watts, and John Francis Daley is working on the script along with Jonathan M. Goldestein. We know that Homecoming will feature Robert Downey Jr, Marisa Tomei, Tony Revolori, Zendaya and Holland.
Rumors have been circulating about the possible villains in Homecoming. Early reports had indicated that Michael Keaton was in talks to play the Vulture, but those talks have broken down. Joblo is reporting that The Vulture will be aided by The Tinkerer. That means Vulture and Tinkerer will be going head-to-head with Spider-Man/Peter Parker.
The other breaking news surrounding the Marvel film involves the costumes. Fans seemed to love how Spider-Man looked in Civil War but he will be getting an upgrade for Homecoming. The new suit will be a throwback to the classic comics days of Stan Lee/Steve Ditko, including web wings.
The Spider-Man reboot is being produced by Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal. Production is set to start sometime this year as it will feature the MCU’s take on Spidey in his high school years.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming opens in theaters on July 7, 2017.
