Some people consider Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse the best Spider-Man film yet. The Academy Award winning film is full of great moments and twists on the Spider-Man mythos. One of the best moments in the film was when it was revealed that Olivia was actually the Doctor Octopus of Miles’ universe.
In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Doctor Octopus was voiced by Kathryn Hahn, who will also appear in the upcoming WandaVision series. During ComicBook.com’s Quarantine Watch Party, Rodney Rothman revealed on Twitter that Doctor Octopus was turned into a woman because Bob Persichetti and Hahn were friends through their kids. Rothman also revealed that Doctor Octopus was originally inspired by “The Dude” from The Big Lebowski in earlier drafts.
