Tom Holland joined the MCU as Spider-Man back in 2016 and has quickly become a fan-favorite character. As last year’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse showed audiences, Peter Parker is far from the only wall-crawling Marvel hero out there. Into the Spider-Verse‘s lead protagonist was the beloved Miles Morales, a character who fans have been clamoring to see in the MCU since Peter Parker joined almost three years ago.
Fans may also remember Miles for having a role in the hit video game Spider-Man, which released on PlayStation 4 just a few months ago. An incredible new piece of fan art from Mizuri Official’s Instagram showcases Miles Morales inspired by Holland’s fan-favorite web-slinger. Check out the exciting fan art in the post below.
Miles Morales was created in 2011 by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli, which means that his origin even pre-dates the Andrew Garfield-led Spidey films. Miles quickly became a beloved character upon his arrival to comics and back then, Donald Glover was campaigning for the role. Unfortunately, the actor never landed the role but he did appear as Aaron Davis in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Davis is known in the comics as a villain named The Prowler, who was also the uncle to Miles Morales.
