’Spider-Man‘ Director Sam Rami In Talks To Helm ‘Doctor Strange 2’

Spider-Man director Sam Rami is currently in talks to helm Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

After the news that Scott Derrickson exited the director’s chair for the highly anticipated sequel Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans were wondering just who would replace him. The Doctor Strange sequel was revealed to be a horror film during Marvel Studios’ 2019 San Diego Comic-Con panel, so it would make sense that a horror director would be in talks to replace him. According to Variety, Spider-Man and Evil Dead director Sam Rami is currently in talks to take the helm of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

This isn’t Sam Rami’s first foray the world of superheroes as he previously directed a Spider-Man trilogy starring Tobey Maguire. To this date they’re considered the best Spider-Man movies and are heavily referenced in majority of modern day superhero movies. Sam Rami is also no stranger to horror as he directed the Evil Dead films, so he’s probably the smartest and safest choice to helm Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

What do you think of Sam Rami taking the reigns of the Doctor Strange sequel? Are you excited to see the Spider-Man director do a superhero horror film? Share your thoughts in the comments section below!
