Veteran Marvel movie editor Dan Lebental hints that the upcoming 'Spider-Man: Far From Home' may have a greater scale to it that the last film.
While the details of the plot are vague, as we only know Peter is heading to Europe for a vacation after the events of Avengers 4 and that long time Spider-Man adversary Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhall) is somehow involved, Lebental recently told The Hollywood Reporter the following about the film’s scale and tone.
“I can’t say much about the new Spider Man, but I will offer up that it will be both grander in scale and even funnier than the last one. The rest of the story will have to wait.”
So from the sound of it, Peter Parker may have an even bigger adventure on his hands than his solo film. But what kind of challenges will Mysterio plague Spidey with?
Jon Watts will return to direct Spider-Man: Far From Home from a script written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Tom Holland will return as Spider-Man while Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to join the cast as Mysterio with Michael Keaton returning as the Vulture.
Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released in theaters on July 5, 2019.
