When it comes to the award season, most superhero movies earn nominations in technical categories but never really outside of that area, except for films like The Dark Knight and Logan. This year at the Golden Globes, two Marvel films are nominated for major awards and one of them just had a major success.
Aside from Black Panther being nominated for the Best Motion Picture-Drama Golden Globe, Marvel heroes are also being represented by Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The hit film has just won the Golden Globe award for Best Motion Picture-Animated and it even had to beat out another superhero film to earn it. Spider-Verse beat out the films Mirai, Isle of Dogs, Ralph Breaks the Internet, and Incredibles 2 for the award, giving it a much bigger chance at success when the Academy Awards come around in a couple months.
