Last night, an explosion at a facility in Queens led to the New York City skyline being lit up with a brilliant blue. Naturally, this got everyone’s puzzlers puzzling. Was it aliens? So many comic films have huge beams of light from the sky during the climax, so was a supervillain scheming something? Perhaps. If you’ll recall during Into the Spider-Verse, Kingpin used a supercollider to try and save his family from the multiverse. As you’d expect, this got fans joking about whether Wilson Fisk was responsible for the recent New York blue light.
Here, have a look at some of the tweets from last night’s New York incident. The other New York incident:
See, you can’t fool the fans. Explosion? Nah. That was merely Kingpin trying to rescue his family. And as a result, look forward to stories about several friendly neighborhood wall-crawlers all around New York City. Though if history is any indication, that’s a commonality at this point.
Any New Yorkers out there that happened to witness this blue light? And if so, did you immediately draw comparisons to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse?
