‘Spider-Man’: Tom Holland Wants Peter Parker To Meet Miles Morales

Tom Holland would like to see his version of Spider-Man and the Miles Morales version meet on the big screen, but with a twist.

In a new video from GQ, Tom Holland went into comments sections of various videos to address questions that some of his fans had. One question involved whether or not Tom Holland’s Peter Parker and Miles Morales could exist in the same universe at the same time, given that Miles Morales’s origin often involves the death of his universe’s version of Spider-Man. Tom Holland explained that there shouldn’t be an issue, although he has a personal twist he’d like to put on the Miles Morales story:

“Well, I hope that [Peter Parker doesn’t die], because I would love to share the screen with [Miles Morales], I think that would be really cool. And I don’t want to die, because I really love playing Peter Parker – so [dying] would kind of be a bit of a bummer.”

Such a change in the handling of the character would arguably be pretty necessary after Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse excellently handled the death of the Peter Parker of Miles Morales’s universe. While Miles didn’t know Peter on a personal level for very long, he did run into a more weary alternate universe version of Peter to learn the lessons he needed to before fully becoming his own Spider-Man. So if Tom Holland is to run into Miles Morales, they will have to mix up the mentor-student relationship without killing Peter Parker off. We already know that Miles Morales exists in this continuity, given that Spider-Man: Homecoming supporting character Aaron Davis mentioned that he had a nephew, who is confirmed to be Miles Morales in a deleted scene.
