In just three short months, Doctor Strange will be released in theaters. Marvel fans, and superhero fans in general, have been waiting a long time for the film, which promises to show a dark-fantasy side of Marvel they’ve only barely touched with the Thor movies.
After an exciting Comic-Con trailer, Doctor Strange has quickly become the talk of the town, with the majority of comic book fans excited to see what director Scott Derickson has in store for us. Of course, there’s one comic book mega-fan who doesn’t have to wait until November to know how the movie is- Stan Lee!
The very face of Marvel himself was at Fan Expo Canada this weekend, promoting the future of Marvel entertainment with a fan Q&A. When asked about the upcoming Doctor Strange movie, Lee had nothing but kind words for the film and its director.
Stan Lee told fans that he believes in Scott Derrickson’s film, saying he thinks he did Doctor Strange right. He should know after all, Stan Lee spent most of his lifetime transforming Marvel into the powerhouse it is today. If anyone knows if a character is being done justice, it’s the person who helped create the character in the first place!
Of course, the verdict is still out on whether or not Doctor Strange will Marvel’s game changer, or if it will crash and burn. Given Marvel’s impressive film record when it comes to movies, it will most likely be the the former. But we’ll all know for sure when Doctor Strange hits theaters November 4, 2016.
