During a panel at this weekend's Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, pop icon Stan Lee reveals who would win in a fight between Batman and Captain America.
Ah, the age-old question: who would win in a fight between Batman and Captain America? Fans have always wondered who would win, especially because they come from two different power-house comic publishers. Well, Stan Lee has the answer fans have been asking for years, even if it’s not the answer we’re looking for.
During the “The Men, The Myths, The Legends” panel at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2) this weekend, Clare Kamer asked Lee that very same question. Here’s what the pop culture icon had to say.
“Anytime anybody asks you who would win in a fight, the only correct answer is that it depends on who’s writing the story,”
While Stan Lee’s answer might not appeal to all fans, it certainly doesn’t beat around the bush. The pen is mightier than the sword, and whoever writes the tale gets to dictate the end. However, we shouldn’t ignore that the heroes have fought before in the DC vs Marvel Comics mini-series that was released in 1996. Spoiler alert: Batman won.
Stan Lee’s next cameo role will be in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Micheal Rooker, Kurt Russell, and the voices of Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper.
Set to the backdrop of ‘Awesome Mixtape #2,’ Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill’s true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes’ aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits cinemas on May 5.
