According to Marvel, this weekend Stan Lee is set to appear in a speaking role of an upcoming episode of Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest. The episode in question is called “T’Chanda” in which Black Panther (voiced by James C. Mathis III) uncovers secrets about his grandfather.
Joining Stan in his final animated appearance will be none other than Peggy Carter herself, Haley Atwell (as Agent Carter) and Star Wars‘ own Mark Hamill, who will be playing the heinous Arnim Zola. Lee will play an Army general who gives Zola a good talking-to about hatred and how hate can make you weak. The Avengers episode airs live this Sunday, January 13th at 9:00pm ET on Disney XD; however, you can check out a clip of the episode right now below:
Some of you may recall Stan Lee made a brief but memorable appearance late last year in Sony’s animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He also appeared in Disney Animation’s feature adaptation of Big Hero 6, a smaller-known Marvel comic series. In that film, Lee appeared as a painting on the wall in one of the main character’s house and then had a short speaking role in a post-credits stinger.
Stan Lee’s next cameo is expected to be in the live-action Captain Marvel, which lands in theaters in a few weeks on March 8, 2019.
