Stan Lee unfortunately passed away weeks before the release of Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse but he still managed to make a cameo in the film. He sells Miles Morales the Spider-Man costume as a store owner. When giving Morales the costume, Morales asks if it’ll fit, and Stan Lee replies “It always fit’s eventually.” Considering the time of Lee’s death, it was very touching to see this cameo and have him deliver this message to audiences. It’s recently bee revealed Lee makes another cameo in the film, but only if you look hard enough.
Lee couldn’t help but surprise fans with this little Easter egg before his passing, giving us the iconic Spider-Man web-slinging symbol on the train. Although Lee has passed, it has been teased he still has a few cameos left in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that he filmed before his passing. Even in death, Lee continues to make fans smile worldwide.
