Picking up where the last season left off, seven signals appeared across the galaxy. And as Pike tells Michael Burnham, it’s up to Discovery to determine the source and intent of those signals. And this is where Spock- Michael’s adopted half-brother- enters the picture, as Spock had a vision of the red angel. And Michael saw this angel as well. When she did, she had the feeling that everything would be alright. But this is space and this is Star Trek, so that’s probably not the case.
From there, the Enterprise and Discovery teams join forces to combat the new threat, knowing that they could be walking right into a trap. Indeed, the two Star Trek teams could be doing something impossible, maybe even dangerous. That’s what happens when you’re in Starfleet.
Towards the end of the trailer, we see a certain someone being wheeled on a stretcher. As he’s suddenly given a jolt that brings him back to life, we see the grand debut of Ethan Peck’s Spock as he enters the Star Trek universe. And from the looks of things, Spock could use a shave.
