‘Star Trek: Discovery’ Season 2 Trailer Reveals First Look At Spock

Starfleet is a promise. You give your life for your teammate, they do the same for you, and no one gets left behind. These are the words of Anson Mount’s Commander Pike. You remember him, right? Time to see some familiar faces. The new season of Star Trek: Discovery will be hitting CBS All Access next year, and fans just got a taste of what’s to come with a new trailer that debuted at New York Comic-Con this weekend.

Picking up where the last season left off, seven signals appeared across the galaxy. And as Pike tells Michael Burnham, it’s up to Discovery to determine the source and intent of those signals. And this is where Spock- Michael’s adopted half-brother- enters the picture, as Spock had a vision of the red angel. And Michael saw this angel as well. When she did, she had the feeling that everything would be alright. But this is space and this is Star Trek, so that’s probably not the case.

From there, the Enterprise and Discovery teams join forces to combat the new threat, knowing that they could be walking right into a trap. Indeed, the two Star Trek teams could be doing something impossible, maybe even dangerous. That’s what happens when you’re in Starfleet.

Towards the end of the trailer, we see a certain someone being wheeled on a stretcher. As he’s suddenly given a jolt that brings him back to life, we see the grand debut of Ethan Peck’s Spock as he enters the Star Trek universe. And from the looks of things, Spock could use a shave. Here, have a look at the trailer for the second season of Discovery in the video below:
