Star Wars: Daisy Ridley Doesn’t Like Rey & Kylo Ren Romance Idea

Some people may like the idea of a romance between Rey and Kylo Ren in Star Wars but this apparently does not include actress Daisy Ridley.

During a recent interview at this year’s Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, the actress was asked what she thought about a possible romance between the two characters. Specifically, they were referring to the possibility in the latest film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

She didn’t give anything away but she made it clear that she couldn’t quite get on board with the idea. She says that she knows that Kylo thinks he’s doing the right thing but also acknowledges that he has killed so many people for his ambitions. In the end, she said that she can’t get behind the romance between Rey and Kylo Ren in a personal way:

I don’t know how I feel about it, because everyone’s talking about the toxic thing of a relationship when it’s essentially emotional [abuse]. It’s a tricky road. I do feel like, deep down, Kylo thinks what he’s doing is right and he doesn’t think he’s wrong, but he has also killed so many people. So I can’t really get behind it, no, in a personal way.
