Filming for Star Wars: Episode IX began back in August at Pinewood studios with shooting coming towards an end into the new year. The upcoming sequel has been shrouded in secrecy but a trailer is rumored to be coming soon. A Star Wars: Episode IX crew gift surfaced on the Star Wars Leaks Reddit community and teases old and new planets appearing in the film.
The gift consists of a personal note from director J.J. Abrams along with a Bad Robot t-shirt and two jars, one containing sand and the other with beans. The bottle allegedly reads that the sand, “is from a sacred place on a familiar planet.” While the beans have, “something to do with “A Jedi eater.” It seems the jars could point to Episode IX returning to a sand planet. During principal photography, shooting did take place in Jordan, where scenes for Jedha were filmed for Rogue One. You can check out the crew gift for yourself below:
Which planet do you think the jar is referring to? Tatooine? Jakku? Jedha? Also, what do you think “Jedi eater” means? Speculate responsibly in the comments below!
