ABC Anchor Confirms ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ News Coming Soon

An ABC anchor confirmed via an Instagram conversation with a fan that we will be getting something for Star Wars: Episode IX very soon!

Producer and writer Mark Allen took to his public Instagram to share a photo of himself outside of Pinewood Studios with the caption:

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Made it to Pinewood for behind the scenes STARWARS IX with only hours to spare!!! Are you excited?!!

Here’s a look at Allen’s selfie taken just outside the Pinewood entrance. Someone is sure excited about something!

Actors like John Boyega who plays Finn in both Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi have hinted at something big coming our way and now we got confirmation again from someone working behind the scenes that something is indeed coming.

Allen replied to a fan asking if we would be getting something Episode IX related soon with this:

It looks like Disney has something in the works, but there is a desired time for it’s released and that explains the embargo. Whatever it is Star Wars fans cannot wait to see it!

Production on the latest saga for Star Wars has officially come to an end. However, that does not mean that the show will not go on. Director J. J. Abrams revealed that this last chapter of the saga will only conclude the Skywalker story that began in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

Director Ryan Johnson recently took to his Twitter account to shoot down all notions that he is finished with Star Wars and that he is indeed working on a new trilogy that we assume will take place after Episode IX or perhaps even before Episode I. A trilogy from Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss is also in the works.

The world needs more Star Wars! Photos are great, but a behind-the-scenes look or a teaser trailer will do even better. But what do you think the big reveal will be? How excited are you for Star Wars: Episode IX? Sound off in the comments down below!

Directed by J. J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode IX stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Dominic Monaghan, Matt Smith, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, and Billy Dee Williams. Carrie Fisher will appear as General Leia Organa through the use of previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Star Wars: Episode IX will be released in theaters on December 20, 2019.
