‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ First Trailer May Be On The Way Soon

Well, obviously. Between now and December, the trailer would have to be on the way, and “soon” could be any time. But the folks over at Making Star Wars seem to believe that a trailer for the next installment in the Skywalker saga is on the way. How is this? Well, let’s start digging into Star Wars: Episode IX.

Take this with a massive grain of, you guessed it, red salt courtesy of The Last Jedi, but according to the “sources” in correspondence with Making Star Wars, a trailer has reportedly been cut. However, no telling yet if this is just a rough version or the actual cut of the trailer that fans and moviegoers alike will get to see. The people at Making Star Wars are adamant, though, that one does exist, but they can’t say for sure if that will be the one that viewers get to see.

The speculation continues from there to discuss new set photos. And these photos that may hint at a second Starkiller base. So if The Force Awakens wasn’t similar enough to A New Hope, perhaps J.J. Abrams is turning Episode IX into his homage to Return of the Jedi. But who knows? After the reaction to The Last Jedi, perhaps Abrams has some real surprises in store for both sides of the fandom.

But then, this is the House of Mouse and Star Wars, alongside Avengers, is one of its biggest properties. So a trailer or even a teaser would have to make a huge splash in a big way. So when do you think we’ll get the first tease for Star Wars: Episode IX? Let us know in the comments below.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode IX stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Kelly Marie Tran, Domhnall Gleeson, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Joonas Suotamo, Richard E. Grant, Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Jimmy Vee, Greg Grunberg, Dominic Monaghan and Matt Smith.

The film will blast its way into theaters on December 20, 2019.
