‘Star Wars: Episode VIII’ May Feature The Bird-Like Convorees

Star Wars: The Force Awakens was primarily focused on the story of a new group of heroes searching for the legendary Luke Skywalker. The film concluded with Rey discovering Luke, seemingly alone, on the planet Ahch-To following the death his students at the hands of the sinister Kylo Ren. However, according to MakingStarWars.Net, Luke’s self-imposed exile may not have been spent entirely in isolation and that he may have enjoyed the company of some creatures familiar to Star Wars fans: The convorees.

According to MakingStarWars.Net, the bird-like creatures known as convorees, who have appeared in the animated series Star Wars Rebels, will make an appearance in Star Wars: Episode VIII.

It appears highly likely we will be seeing convorees in Star Wars: Episode VIII. The sources that got back to me so far have said that’s the gist of the design; however, “leave some room open for the animated shows’ interpretation.” Without having seen the designs myself at this point, I think that’s about as good as I can do to confirm we will see convorees in Star Wars: Episode VIII.

The site had made an earlier report on Luke Skywalker sharing the island with bird-like creatures, though details on what role the creatures will play in the film are currently just speculation.

Would you be excited to see the convorees appear in the next Star Wars film? What role do you think they could or should play? Do you like the description of the creatures featured in an earlier report? Share your thoughts below!

Directed by Rian Johnson, Episode VIII stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran. The film will be released in theaters on December 15, 2017.
