‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ VFX Reel Released

Industrial Light & Magic, the VFX and animation studio behind the fan favorite Star Wars franchise and many others projects such as Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War and Warcraft, has released an awesome sizzle reel that highlights the visual effects of J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

In the video, we see how ILM created the visual effects for some of the most thrilling moments of The Force Awakens, step by step. These moments include the Millennium Falcon chase sequence, Poe (Oscar Isaac) and Finn’s (John Boyega) escape from the Star Destroyer Finalizer, and the lightsaber duel between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) at the end of the movie.

The cast of the movie features Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Gwendoline Christie and Max von Sydow.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is now available on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD, but a 3D Collector’s Edition has also been announced. You can find more details about it here.
